Join us for a parenting class focused on raising biracial children and transracial adoptees (children from another ethnicity). Topics covered include tips on building an identity of self, using specific hair products, and ideas on creating a cohesive family. There will be time for questions.

Norma McCandless is a Community Health Educator and the Founder and Director of the Metro East Diaper Bank. She published a children’s book in 2011, Mirror, Mirror WHO do you see?!, which is teaching children about differences. She also published her family’s history in the United States dating back to 1776.

 

Who: Open to the general public. You do not need a library card to participate.
