Presentation Guidelines

The library will incorporate cooperative programming with other agencies,
organizations, and educational institutions capitalizing on existing knowledge and expertise
when they are compatible with the Library's mission and goals. Library program presenters who
are affiliates of commercial enterprises may provide general knowledge without direct
promotion of a business enterprise resulting in potential profit. The Library does not allow
programs of a purely commercial nature. No multi-level or network marketing is allowed.

Available equipment: tables, chairs, projector, HDMI cable, speaker, and copier are available
for presentations. The presenter must let Program Coordinator know in advance if a laptop is
needed. Presenters should provide any additional materials needed for the presentation unless
participants are to bring their own supplies.

Presentation Expectations

Set up: Presenters shall arrive 30 minutes prior to their presentation start to set up equipment
and room. It is highly encouraged that the Presenter views the room before the date of
presentation. All audiovisual or special needs should be discussed with the Program
Coordinator prior to the program date. If participants need to bring supplies, Presenter must
specify this and what materials are needed at the time of the proposal.

Marketing: The library will only advertise programs on O’Fallon Public Library social media
accounts (Facebook and Instagram), www.ofpl.info, Library Newsletter, and within the library.
Confirmation: All program details must be received and confirmed by the third week of the
previous month to ensure publication in the library newsletter. Lack of confirmation means
your presentation will not occur.
 

Scheduling: Programs are scheduled on a month-to-month basis, based on attendance and
room availability. Programs may be scheduled over a month in advance, but a recurring
schedule is at the discretion of the Program Coordinator based on attendance and interest.
