Join our Hat Parade!
Spring is here! It is the season of spring bonnets, baseball caps, and sun visors. We have decided to host a HAT PARADE in youth services this month. Our inspiration came from a new book by Kelly Starling called Tiara's Hat Parade. Here is how you can participate:
- Design a hat - Create any sort of hat that you would like. You can download the visor and decorate it, pick up a foam visor at the Youth Services desk to decorate, spruce up an old hat with new decorations, or create an entirely new hat. You are only limited by your imagination. Send a picture of your creation to [email protected] by Friday, April 30th. A copy of Tiara's Hat Parade will be awarded to 3 winners!
- Hat Week! - Wear a hat to the library during the week of April 12-18 and pick up a prize!
- Hat books - We have all sorts of books about hats and head coverings in our special selections this month. Come check one out.
- Hat display - There are all kinds of fun hats on display all over the Children's section. Stop by and take a look. Tell us which one is your favorite!
