February celebrates all kinds of healthy habits. It is Children's Dental Health month, American Heart month and Youth Mental Health Awareness month. At the library we will have several activities to help promote healthy learning.

  • A special selection of books will focus on dental, heart, and mental health.

  • Take and Make Thursday will have a different craft every week to promote healthy habits.

Poster Contest Rules
  • The theme for the contest is "Healthy Habits Healthy Kids." Make sure the poster depicts one or more healthy habits.
  • There will be 3 winners from 3 different age categories: Preschool - 1st grade, 2nd-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade. The winners will have their drawings blown up to a poster size to display in the library and take home.
  • Submissions may be in any 2-D art medium (paint, marker, crayon, colored pencil, etc.)
  • All entries must be submitted using the template provided on this page. You may also pick up a copy at the library.
  • Artwork must be original and free of copyright restrictions (No clipart, quotes, copyrighted characters, etc.)
  • Only vertical designs using the template will be accepted.
  • Upon submission, entrants grant O'Fallon Public Library all rights to the artwork and consents that all artwork may be displayed and/or reproduced without limitation or compensation
  • Limit one entry per person. Do not include your name on front of the artwork. DO write your name, age, and phone number on the back with PENCIL.
  • ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BETWEEN JANUARY 25-FEBRUARY 22.
