Are you interested in learning to code? Are you aware that you can teach yourself but would value a team learning experience? Do you want to know if a career in computer programming or software development is for you BEFORE spending long hours and money investing in it? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Coding Basics with Python & Java is for you!

In this introductory level course, you'll learn the basics of Python & Java computer programming languages by creating simple programs. You will also create a learning portfolio that you can always reference as you move forward in your decision-making regarding a future in the wonderful world of solving problems with tech.

Required Materials: Personal Laptop with administrative privileges (i.e. you can download apps, etc.). Chromebooks and tablets do not qualify. Windows or Mac is acceptable. Windows 7 OS or higher is required (Windows 8 or higher preferred)


Classes will begin May 1st from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and continue every Tuesday and Wednesday until May 28th, for a total of 8 classes. 


O'Fallon Public Library Small Conference Room. The Small Conference Room is located Upstairs, next to Non-Fiction and the restrooms.
