Collaborations and Partnerships

Overview

Studies show that 1 in 3 families in the U.S. face the difficult decision of whether to feed or diaper their child.

In partnership with the Metro East Diaper Bank and the Friends of the Library, we serve as as Diaper Depot, making diapers available to families in need.

Packs of free diapers are available in our Children's Department to anyone in need.  Sizes range from Newborn to Size 5.  There are no questions asked or forms to fill out to receive these diapers.

If you would like to help support this effort, you can drop off diaper donations in the Children's Department or make a financial donation to the Metro East Diaper Bank through their website.

Overview

We are thrilled to partner with KultureCity, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to creating sensory-inclusive spaces for individuals with sensory needs. Together, we are committed to making our library a welcoming and accessible place for everyone in our community.

Through this collaboration, we have implemented several initiatives to enhance the library experience for visitors with sensory challenges. Our team members have received specialized training to better understand and assist individuals with sensory sensitivities. We have also introduced sensory kits, including noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and weighted lap pads, available at our Children's Help Desk.

In addition, designated Quiet Zones and sensory-friendly events have been established to provide a calm and supportive environment for all our patrons. These efforts align with our mission to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and included when they visit our library.

Overview

We are excited to announce that the O'Fallon Public Library is a PurpleOne Safe Place for Survivors of Domestic Violence.  We are proud to support our local domestic violence agency, the Violence Prevention Center, in becoming a community united against domestic violence.

Safe Places are local businesses and organizations where survivors can receive a referral to a local domestic violence agency or information about domestic violence.  Members of our team completed training, where they learn to recognize, respond to, and refer survivors of domestic violence.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, know that you are not alone.  You can reach our 24 hours a day for help, call the Violence Prevention Center at 618-235-0892.
